WELCOME TO THE HAUXTON PARISH COUNCIL WEBSITE

Hauxton Parish Council is the first tier of local government. Its role and areas of responsibility are defined in law.

The council comprises seven volunteer councillors, chaired by Tony Allison, and a part-time parish clerk.

It receives £18,000 a year from council tax, which is spent on village projects including grass cutting, recreation grounds and village hall maintenance.

Council meetings are open to members of the public and the media.

The next scheduled meeting will be the AGM on Thursday 10 May 2012 at 7.30pm in the Alice Cambridge Room, Hauxton Village Hall.

Chair Tony Allison has announced that he will be retiring from the Parish Council in May after more than 20 years’ service. He would like to take this opportunity to thank all councillors past and present at Hauxton, Harston, SCDC and Cambs County Council with whom he has worked over the years and wishes them well for the future.
